About Me

About Me

I'm Eduardo García Rodríguez. People tend to like the rolling “rs” and poignant zeds in my name, which is a shame because I usually just present myself as Ed. Born and bred in Manchester, United Kingdom, I'm actually Spanish.

Always curious, I am a constant seeker of new knowledge and continuously learning and listening to those who have something to teach. I love communication and writing and have a particular interest in travelling, environmental issues, sports and institutional communication.

I am also a movie nerd, an indie music lover and a dinosaur know-it-all.

Here's a recap of where I've been and what I did.

I moved to Spain when I was sixteen. I got a Master's Degree in Journalism.

In 2009, I moved to Germany, I learned how to ask for "Brötchen mit Käse", oh and maybe a bit of "Kuchen, bitte" and then to finish with "das Essen ist lecker", you know, the basics.

In 2010, I moved to Paris, learned French, fell in love with the city and got a distance MA on the way.

In 2011, I moved to Madrid. I gained valuable work experience and found out that you can love two cities at once.

In 2015, I moved to Luxembourg. I got the best work professional experience yet, and I remembered that rubbish cities exist too.

Mid 2016 I moved back to Spain. I am unemployed. So when I am not doing tediously long recruitment processes, I translate and proofread texts from now and then.

So, what now?

You tell me. Rather than stand still, I have decided to dedicate more time to writing about issues that interest me. I have several blogs and write persistently on different issues whilst looking for the right employment opportunity, wherever that may take me.
